A KIRKWOOD COMMUNITY EDUCATION PROGRAM
We train in the JKA Style of Shotokan Karate.
JKA Shotokan is a systematic approach to training the body in the skills of
a real martial art with the emphasis on physiokinetics and body mechanics.
We follow the guidelines of Sensei Hidetaka Nishiyama.
Master Nishiyama is a direct student of Sensei Gichin Funakoshi.
Funakoshi is the father of modern karate and founder of our style.
